Survey shows the pattern of use Opera Mobile Internet
The manufacturer of the Opera, one of the most used mobile platforms, announced on Monday, 29, the latest survey State of the Mobile Web Report, which analyzes the profile of Internet use via mobile browsers around the Opera the world. There are about 50.5 million active users, according to the company, whose usage profile is the basis for the survey.
According to data collected by the Opera browser, in Brazil there was an increase in web traffic through cellular 322.5% between October 2008 and October 2009. These data are relevant because it includes not only smartphones, but all types of handsets using Opera browser. And platforms that generate high traffic, but can distort the statistics, like the iPhone (whose user base is very small in Brazil) are not counted because the Opera browser is not available on that platform.
In Brazil, the most accessed sites on the platform were Opera Mobile google.com, orkut.com, terra.com.br, youtube.com, live.com, my.opera.com, globo.com, twitter.com, cnn. com.br gmail.com and, in that order. In terms of most popular handsets with Opera are found in the order, the Sony Ericsson W800, followed by models of Nokia handsets 5000d, 5310, 5130, N95, E71, 5610d, 2680s, 3120c, 3600. The survey by Opera allows the comparison of these same data in all countries. The full text is available at www.opera.com / SMW.
One goal of the Opera with this research is to show that their platform, to compress data access and process the previously displayed page, saving bits and makes browsing the mobile web simple for users to networks and friendly operators. The company estimates that the compression ratio is around 90%. Without it, only in February, some three petabytes of data traffic have been trafficked across the world to access the mobile web browser by Opera, which is 164% more than the same month of 2008.
